Colleen is passionate about massage therapy, studying the brain, cooking and eating healthy organic food, exercising and going for walks in nature.
Colleen tailors her treatment to each individual. This is done by tuning into the client’s body rhythm and asking his or her body which therapy that Colleen offers is best for the individual at that time. Colleen’s intuitive and palpation skills are highly developed. She is able to feel the movement of fluid, bones, and organs, as well as muscle tension and restrictions in the connective tissue(fascia).
She was introduced to Shiatsu by a family friend when she was 18. By the age of 20, Colleen had become a Shiatsu Practitioner and had also certified in reflexology.
Wanting to further her studies in the healing arts, Colleen enrolled in the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1991 and graduated with a diploma(2500 hours of academic & practical training) in 1993. Since that time, Colleen has taken several courses to advance her skills:
- Lymphatic Drainage(levels 1 to advanced)
- Applied Tensegrity (levels 1 to 3)
- Craniosacral Therapy(levels 1 & 2)
- Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy
- Neuromuscular Therapy (levels 1 to 5)
- Brain Work (levels 1 to 3)
