Liver-Gallbladder Health

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Liver is the organ responsible for the smooth flow of emotions as well as Qi and blood. It is the organ that is most affected by excess stress or emotions. The Liver’s partner organ is the Gallbladder.

When the liver and gallbladder are imbalanced they are described as stagnant or stuck. That means the energy is not smoothly moving through them. Some of the many physical and emotional conditions of this imbalance include:

  • headaches, Eye issues (red, itchy, dry), Pain/stiffness in the body
  • Anxiety, Tendency toward anger, irritability
  • Menstrual issues (cramps, irregular periods, painful periods, PMS), Hormone Imbalances such as hot flashes
  • Digestion problems such as bloating, poor appetite, gastritis, Cholesterol Issues, Gallbladder Issues
